Book Review: Hiding In Hip Hop by Terrence Dean

Rating: Men on film would say, "HAYY-TED IT!"

I wish I would have read this book at Barnes and Noble and left it there when I was done. I would be 20 bucks richer!! I understand why Terrence did not want to mention the names of celebrities he was on the DL with but can you be a bit more descriptive, T?

Things I did not like about the book:

*I hate the fact that he has NO timeline in this book. When you mention you were with a popular, successful singer, is it from 2008,2007, 1987??? This was wrecking my brain...

*Also, the blind items were a bit too short and general.

*Dude makes it seem like he slept with every man he looked at. I know you HAD to run into some hard rapper who wasn't having you stare him down.

*For dude to be on the DL, alot of people he was hiding from sho did already know he waas gay.

Overall I give it 7/10. Terrence had a really interesting life and comes from an interesting background. His stories outside of the industry are what make the book decent.

I totally agree with the review, I thought he had no time line and the book was running all over the place. I hated how non- descriptive he was and I think the title fooled me. How can it be a tell all book when he aint sayin nuthin? I agree with you saying that his background and his childhood is a very interesting story but that was it. I would give the book a 5/10 because it only met me 1/2 way.
